非常にメイプルらしい乾いた広がりのあるサウンドと程よい中低音が魅力のPORKPIEです。
繊細な反応と明るい高域も持ち合わせているので、レコーディング等のマイクの乗りが非常に良く、多くのスタジオミュージシャンが使用しているようです。
このスネアは、小口径13インチの特徴から、粒立ちとスティックワークに対するレスポンスが得られながら、深さ7インチと言うサイズがもたらす、サウンドの奥深さとボリュームを兼ね備えているため、トータルバランスに優れたモデルとなっています。
フィニッシュには、美しい木目を活かした、ブランディード・ピーチと呼ばれる化粧板とマホガニーが採用されています。
